Get lucky in Las Vegas
If you’re feeling lucky and searching for some blue skies and sunshine to lift you out of your winter blues, then Las Vegas is the place for you.
This amazing city has something for everyone. If you’re into gambling and nightlife, you’re in the right place. Head to one of the massive hotel casinos and try your luck on the slots or the tables. Eat well at any of the hundreds of excellent restaurants that this city in the sun is known for and then spend the afternoons roasting in the desert heat. There’s no reason to even summon the energy to lift an arm as the cocktails are delivered straight to your poolside lounger. And in the evenings, no trip to Vegas is complete without a stroll down the madness that is the strip with its multitude of bars, its bright lights and its brilliant atmosphere.
But you’re going to need some comfortable shoes to make the most of all those opportunities. Here are our top recommendations for a great meal out in Vegas and the perfect shoes to wear as you step out in style.
The restaurant: Lago, Las Vegas, Nevada
If your lucky number has just come in and you find yourself with a little more cash than you expected, you might want to splash out on a little celebration. If so, you could do worse than book yourself a table at one of the finest restaurants in a city well known for its fine restaurants.
Welcome to Lago, the showcase restaurant at the elegant Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. This hotel is most famous for its extraordinary magic fountain show. Michelin starred chef Julian Serrano has followed the Italian theme with his own high end restaurant featuring some of the most stunning views in the world. This restaurant specialises in small plates of Italian food presented with exquisite elegance and just bursting with imagination.
There’s everything in the menu from seafood to steaks and gorgeous pastries if you like to round off your meal with something sweet. And the views are to die for. You can either sit in the main restaurant with its double height ceiling overlooking the lake and the fountains. Or you could try to reserve a space on the patio outside to guarantee the best view of the fountains anywhere in Vegas. And if you’re there on a Sunday, you might want to book in for their brunch, which looks equally delicious.
This place is not cheap, but sometimes memories are worth more than just money.
The shoes: Truja suede mules
Las Vegas isn’t known for its understatement. So, when you’re looking for the perfect shoes to score a direct hit on that Vegas vibe, you could do worse than to step out in one of our wild leopard print patterns.
Add a touch of glamour to your outfit and set hearts a-flutter at the Bellagio in these Truja suede mules with their classic looks and striking leopard print design. Don’t gamble on style. We reckon these are the winners you’ve been looking for.
But it’s DRY heat! Desert sun, Palm Springs style...
When the sky is grey in Michigan and the rain is drizzling down in Seattle, it is almost invariably hot, dry and sunny in Palm Springs.
This California desert resort is blessed with 350 days of sunshine every year and some of the best winter weather anywhere in the USA. With its stunning desert location and its permanent dry heat, Palm Springs is sheltered by the mighty San Jacinto Mountains, towering solemnly over the lively, sophisticated little resort town that has sprung up in its shadow.
For years this well-kept resort was home to movie stars and billionaires - and many still make this place their home. But the Coachella Valley is now home to 350,000 residents who are blessed to enjoy this weather all year round. For a city that has no natural water source, Palm Springs has thousands of swimming pools, dozens of world class golf courses, loads of luxury hotels and is oozing with mid-century modern chic. Plus, this gay-friendly city has also become a mecca for eating out with some fine restaurants along the traditional and charming Palm Canyon Drive that winds its way through the heart of this unique town.
This is a city of California style. Everybody notices what you’re wearing, even down to your shoes. Viscata espadrilles have the perfect mix of casual glamour to make that sexy desert vibe even more sexy. We think you’ll look gorgeous in our stunning Viscatas as you step into one of the many glamorous Palm Springs restaurants en route to a night you’ll always remember.
The restaurant: Copley's on Palm Canyon Drive
In a city renowned for being a playground to the stars, it’s not surprising that Copley's has taken up the mantle thrown down by Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra and Liberace. Apparently, this lovely setting, with its stunning patio with dramatic mountain views, was also a favorite of Hollywood legend Cary Grant.
This uptown restaurant is now under the watchful eye of celebrity chef Andrew Manion Copley and it’s no surprise that it still attracted famous names including the likes of Anderson Cooper. This is a place for special occasions and it features a dreamy open air patio and an award winning menu which includes a gorgeous seared Scottish salmon, tandoori chicken breast and an amazing lobster pot pie. All the herbs are grown in their own garden and the service is immaculate, with a wine list to match the delicious menu.
The shoes: Llansa bicolor Navy
Slip into these summer stunners and heads will turn. So versatile you can wear them all year round and still look gorgeous, we love the navy blue ones with their jacquard bicolor sole and stylish, flattering slingback heel strap (but other colors are available). With their soft cotton canvas fabric, we guarantee you a luxurious, comfortable fit that will help you glide effortlessly from your sunny days to stylish nights. Plus, their 2.5” heels are made from eco-friendly jute. Naturally.

Baja California is a bit off the beaten path. But if you’re looking for great food, awesome nature, gorgeous beaches and a casual vibe, then this charming region is probably going straight to the top of your winter sun wishlist. And don’t be fooled by the name, this beautiful spot is actually not in California at all, it’s in Mexico.
With stunning views of the Pacific Ocean to the West and the Gulf of California to the East, this region has everything you could want for a winter sun destination. With a beautiful year round climate and a rich variety of landscapes to enjoy including a few deserts, should you be so inclined. We think you’ll look great in a pair of comfortable Viscatas as you stroll between the beach and bar. And the bar we recommend is the Baja Brewing Company.
The restaurant: Baja Brewing Company
Cabo San Lucas is a casual place and this rooftop bar/restaurant with an amazing view mirrors that casual, laid back vibe. Set in a prime rooftop location in the beautiful Cabo Villas Resort and Spa complex in the heart of downtown, the Baja Brewing Company offers stunning 360 degree views of the town and beach.
With an international menu featuring all your favorites, you can choose from an eclectic range of items that includes casual meals such as blue cheese burgers and pizzas all the way through to shrimp tacos, seasonal fish, seafood, steaks and pasta. And, of course, you can wash this all down with one of their own craft beers or cocktails.
Once you’ve loosened up with a few of those, you’ll get into the party mood as the DJ spins his tunes to get the party going during happy hour. And if you pick the right night, live music and sports will keep you entertained until the early hours.
The shoes: Escala
With a boho spirit and casual beach vibe, Cabo San Lucas is the perfect place to celebrate sunshine and style. Our sexy Escalas tap into that sexy spirit with their effortless chic.
Not only do these look gorgeous, but they’re so comfortable you’ll feel like you’re walking on clouds. These ones look and feel so good, we think you’ll never want to take them off.
Dive into an endless summer in beautiful Bermuda
Bermuda is a beautiful place if you’re looking to chase the sun. This little archipelago, set like a jewel in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, is a place where the beaches are pink, the skies are blue, the water is crystal clear and the lifestyle is casual. There’s a Caribbean vibe here, combined with a colonial English charm that sets it apart from other islands.
While most people come here for the stunning beaches and transparent seas, don’t be fooled. Despite the beach vibe, this is a very sophisticated place and there is a lot of money on display. If you’re looking for beach action, you should head south towards the ever popular Horseshoe Bay. But just a bit further along, you’ll find Warwick Bay - quieter and less crowded, but just as alluring.
And after a long day swimming and sunbathing, you’ll need to head to a bar for a sundowner and a bite to eat. And we know just the place. As you’re enjoying that handmade rum cocktail, you’ll probably want to step out in some handmade shoes afterwards. Viscata has something for everyone and a few pairs is all you need to make the most of a paradise like this.
The restaurant: Mickey's
Head down to Mickey’s for a fun time and a stunning seafront location. With a huge open air deck (at beach level) this gorgeous spot at the Elbow Beach Bermuda Resort and Spa is casual, family friendly and you really couldn’t be any closer to the beach.
With a casual “Mediterranean meets island” menu including casual dining, burgers, seafood and pizza, this is a great place to head with the family. Pull up a seat and gaze out at the pink sand, the blue sea, the golden sun and the calming waves that wash gently onto the beach before you. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better restaurant with a beach view anywhere in the world. Order a juicy burger or enjoy a refreshing salad. Take a large sip of their signature Dark and Stormy cocktail and relax. This is as close to heaven as you can get.
The shoes: Menorquina leather Avarcas
You’re going to need some beach chic in your shoes, if you’re dining at Bermuda’s only restaurant with direct beach access. And we have just the pair for you. Get into the island spirit with these sexy and practical Avarcas.
Comfortable and casual enough to get you to the beach and carry you on into an evening dining under the stars, these effortlessly chic shoes will make you feel like you’re walking on air with their soft, leather upper and solid rubber sole.
These pretty and practical shoes are an elegant alternative to traditional flip flops - but so much more elegant and cool. Handmade in Menorca, these were the breakout hit across Europe this summer. Slip into a pair to keep the good times rolling. We have them available in a range of sexy colors including a pretty pink that almost matches the sand on those beautiful Bermuda beaches.
